Our Rooms in Varanasi

Our rooms tell a story; because storytelling is one of our favourite habits. We don’t stop with just the tales of the city. Every room has a story too. The décor and interiors are all done up with the thought of minimalism as well as well as aesthetic appeal. Each room is named after the women in the family who are the reason behind the Granny’s Inn.

We have various types of rooms in our property, each room is ideal for every traveller to Varanasi. Six creatively furnished rooms with en-suite bath, and with AC (air conditioning). The rooms are clean and aesthetically done up, with hand painted mirrors and paintings that add life to this homestay.

Aruna & Asha (Superior Double Rooms)

These rooms are named after the grannies. Aruna – the younger of the two grannies. Feisty, hard-nosed and meticulous, she complements her easy going sister – Asha. The Aruna room is a large suite, with en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. The other room is named after Asha – the older of the two grannies. Asha is a superior room with en-suite bathroom. The room is equipped with air-con to beat the summer heats, and during winters one can cozy down with a cup of special granny’s tea.

The rooms are part of an independent house (old Indian construction style) with a small open courtyard. The room is furnished simply, has Banarasi sari curtains, and a large wooden mirror. Ideal for families, the elderly, and independent women travellers looking for a safe, clean stay near the main temple. It is also great for long stays.

Mamta & Arti (Standard Twin Rooms)

The Mamta & Arti rooms are twin bed rooms which can be modified to double bed rooms. They come with ensuite baths. Mamta is on the ground floor, while Arti is on the first floor. These are particularly great for friends and women travelling together, or even families with kids! It is a typical Indian room. Furnished simply with Banarasi sari curtains and a large wooden mirror. Ideal for corporate, young travellers and independent women travellers looking for a safe and clean stay near the main temple. Also great for short stays.
